So, the past week or two has not been fun. On Mon the 27th, I went to the doctor because I've been in a lot of pain lately in my stomach and lower back. She didn't know what was wrong. Then, on Tues night I went into the ER because the pain was so bad and was lasting a lot longer than usual. I had a catscan and they said I had a kidney stone! But, they had no idea what was causing my stomach pain. ( I know, this is a weird thing to tell everyone about, but it's been a large portion of my life the past two weeks) So, I had an ultrasound on Wed morning to try and find out whatever it was. They still don't know.
As a result, I've been on major pain killers for about a week now and my stomach still gets a little upset and my back is still hurting and I don't know what's going on.
Oh - and turns out that I have a birth defect in my kidneys called Medullary Sponge Kidney. It's not too serious, but it just means that my kidneys are filled with cysts and develop stones very easily.
yuck.
Luckily, I have the best husband in the world and he's really taking care of me. He always rubs my back when it hurts and makes sure I'm comfortable. And he's ridiculously patient. How did I, who's patience is profoundly lacking, find someone so sweet. I couldn't ask for a better person to be beside me throughout life.
