I really love Halloween. This year, Justin and I got together with our friends at church and decided to all dress up together. We ended up with the Civil War. So, our friends were the South and Justin and I were the North. My friend Jessica and I made our dresses and the guys' soldier outfits over two weeks prior to Halloween. It was so much fun.
We found a lot of what we used at Goodwill and a few other thrift stores. My dress was a hideous prom dress before we changed it up. Jessica had to make a new bodice for her dress but used a puffy skirt from a thrift store find. I actually found a genuine hoop skirt! We just used regular suits for the guys and added new buttons and some trim and stuff like that. Anyway, I think they turned out pretty cute. They are far from perfect, but were made on a small budget of time and money. Anyway, they're just costumes :)
But, as a disclaimer, this was the night after I went to the ER and I was on some pretty strong pain killers. (I was a little loopy), and I was still in pain.
These pictures were taken at our church Halloween party on Wed, 29th.

I am very impressed with your creativity! And I'm sorry about all the pain. I hope you can figure out what's wrong.
