This past week has been really exciting for us. Justin's sister Gina called us Thursday morning to tell us he was probably going to have her baby soon. Unfortunately, it was a blizzard outside. It had started snowing at 6 am and already there was at least 5 inches by 9:30am. It was crazy outside as we drove down to Denver. We drove about 30 mph at the most on the freeway. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get down to Littleton! It usually only takes us 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Well, we picked up the other two kids from a friend's house and got to watch them for the next two days. We had so much fun. Michael is almost 5 and Kaitlin and 2 1/2. We played in the snow, went to the movies, visited Gina and Ryan and the new baby in the hospital, and had lunch at mcdonalds and played in the playplace for a while. I discovered that Justin is very scared of changing diapers. He did really well playing with Michael though. Everyone came home on Saturday night and little Samantha is so sweet. While we were there, I discovered that Kaitlin loves to be independent. She wouldn't let me play with her and if she saw me watching, she would say "by self," or "lone." I thought it was pretty amusing.
We made a great snowman who eventually got cucumber eyes and a carrot nose.
Michael wanted to name our snowman Michael. Creative, huh?
